General Ride in Fiat 100HP

One thing that shows how good the 100HP is, despite the poor comfort level, all of us still seem to love them.

They are an infectious car to drive. Makes me smile everytime I get out of my company car into our 100.

Obviously wasn't pushing the car enough :p
I was gonna say that, but held my tongue!

Brakes in my '08 100HP are too sensitive for me at anything other than illegal speeds and then, as Lauren says, there is no progression. Went for an "experimental" drive in semi-dry conditions for the first time and although I enjoyed the impossible-to-crash fun nature of the handling on the edge, you realise that the big bite at the top of the brake pedal is actually most of the braking action you have and rather like an over-keen electronic butterfly throttle action, gives the illusion of performance that you don't actually have. I think the brakes are adequate in stopping power though.

I think there's no doubt that later servos are more progressive, but I have to say that I find the 100HP's brakes extremely effective - progressive and resistant to fade, including hurrying down an Alp with a substantial load of wine and olive oil on board.

Is the Evo triangle and associated area worth a trip down from the North East for a blast with a few mates? We do the occasional jaunt for a day or two into the Lakes and Borders, so would be a nice change.

It is a good bit of fun. Try not to do it in the summer though as it turns into a racetrack for bikers and can be a bit annoying.

Couldn't agree more, i have only been on it the once but did research before hand and it gets busy easter weekend onwards with cars/bikers and police mobile speed cameras apparently.

It's worth a trip just for the roads around north wales let alone the evo triangle.

Two words :) Horseshoe pass ;)

You could change the dampers / springs to make the ride softer, i've lowered my last 4 cars so i'm used to a "hard" ride. :)

Best suspension yet had to be the non cup suspension on my 197, that could absorb HUGE bumps
