Anyone just see the news report on it.

Very breif but raised a good point, LGI is miles away from where incident occured and there were nearer hospitals, but he was airlifted to this hospital, the injuries must be serious then :(

Oh no, I'm very sad to hear this. Here's to Richard and a swift recovery (y) Hope he gets better from now on, we've already lost Steve Irwin this month, another household TV presenter loved by millions.

Hopefully he'll be alright, and just get on with his job, being the short one on Top Gear :p

"Former Top Gear presenter Quentin Willson said the presenter was "irreplaceable"."

Sadly for Quentin, he wasn't quite so irreplacable :p

H

Top presenter, it's a shame they keep pushing him further and further. Anyway, TOTP2 is on instead of Top Gear this morning :(

hope he gets well soon and fully recovers, he wont be using NHS treatment so he's got a chance at least.

if i had a wife and 2 young daughters i wouldnt be risking my life in a jet car at 300mph just for top gear viewers to go 'ooh', unless i had a very very generous insurance policy.

Which you can bet your bottom dollar he has got, hopefully though they won't need to use it

Good thing is at least he's stable and they've taken him to the best hospital for his injuries.

I suppose the most dangerous part was him getting through the night, we just have to wait and see what the damage is now

:(

Top Gear would not be the same without RH. Get well soon mate.
We only have one life in this current world, so even the best insurance policy is useless if you die!! Richard is a very good driver, so i think the dragster must of developed a problem or something along those lines. Maybe he should once back to full fitness knock these mad daft challanges on the head.

Andy.

Andy.

Here's hoping he learns from this

He should count himself lucky he made it out of there alive

They said the speeds were the same as those experienced by pilots

They seemed to think it was a cross wind, i would have thought health and safety boffs would have taken yesterdays wind speeds into account before allowing him to do such as madcap stunt???
