Revmeter for Punto Sporting

I am an owner of a 1999 S reg Punto Sporting 1.2i16v and the Rev-meter has recently started sticking. Anyone encountered this? if so how much did it cost you to repair?

Any suggestions welcome

do you mean it doesnt move or does it stick at a certain rpm?

It was sticking to begin with at various RPMs. It now doesn't move at all. I'm pretty sure it's f**ked and I need a new one.

i'd check the electrical connections 1st

Electrical connections where? Do you mean taking apart the dashboard?

Sounds like it.. there sould be screws around the plastic screen that you can remove, then access to the tacho is easier.
