Rite this is a question 4 all the CINQ sporting owners who's rev counter doesn't sit in the middle of the dash *cough* seicento ;). Anywayz i jus noticed that mine doesn't drop 2 0 when the engine is off sits @ 500 strange any1 elses sit at 500? + any recomendations on oil and sparks as its service time b4 my MOT has cheap and nasty halfords in it atm but i was looking at getting some castrol GTX stuff this time.

The rev counter sits on the little stopper pin at 500 revs, nothing to worry about.

Oil, I've tried all types practically, with little noticeable difference. In theory, if you go for synthetic it should make the engine last longer - try GTX magnatec 15w/40 for about £17 a bottle. If you go for the runny grades such as 0w/40 (wrong grade for ours anyway) you can get problems with oil leaks.

Plugs - Bosch Super 4's (£20) make the car run a little smoother, other than that I've found no difference between other types/brands. I've heard good things about Champion EON2's though.

I take it u can get the sparks from Halfords. And that GTX magnatec a m8 of mine says dnt touch it because its poo and does more damage than gd 2 the engine not sure whether he's talking out his arse tho thats y i thort i'd get the normal GTX stuff plus its only £9.99 :)

Plugs, yeah - £20 from Halfords.
Magnatec is basically a semi synthetic version of GTX, so I wouldn't have thought it'd be worse, unless anyone knows any different?

I have the Bosch Super 4s in mine and I spotted alot of difference with both fuel consumption and smoothness of the engine.
