General Rev-counter connection

Hello!

I'm trying to wire up a shiftlight to my Stilo 1.8 16V, and I can't find a suitable connection. What I need is an external tachometer takeoff, or any coil -ve feed. Has anyone got any ideas?

Not sure about a stilo, but the Cento's and Pandas didnt come with tacho's fitted. they can be fitted by connecting to pin 23 of the ECU. i advise checking this though before doing anything as they may be different.

If you have two coils then if you connect to only one you will only get half the reading, as one coil will only supply spark for two cylinders. some one confirm please?

Craig has the right idea, but ECU's on Stilos will be compleatly different to Panda's, so ignore pin 23. Should be able to possibly find out which wire into the back of the clocks controls the tacho if your good with a multi meter
