Hi all,

I want to buy some aftermarket wheel bolts to replace the naff rusty OE ones. However, the ones I'm looking at are slightly longer, at 28mm vs 22mm. So I'm wondering if anyone else has fitted slightly longer bolts and if they encountered any issues with them bottoming out.

There not much clearance above the rear brake cylinder. Much safer to use the right size.

Either cut down the bolts

Or better still use the correct bolts. They will be the correct size and hardness.

A lot of beakers nowadays take off the wheels and melt them down. Speak nicely to them and they will probably give you a set of a nearly new car for the minimal amount.

Failing that you could just paint the tops silver.
