doing some mods just need to know how to remove these to put some sports ones that i bought on.

also sorry for so many threads just been so busy on my car this month

cheers for your help:D

i think u just pull and twist the gearknob off....this worked in my sisters old x-reg punto (even tho she didnt want if off- i did it by accident)
ive looked in the haynes manual for the handbrake and cant find nethin about it

EVERYONE- SPRAY YOUR PUNTOS BLACKDavid

He he.

I remember replacing my gearknob and it just didn't seem to twist off etc.

So out came the hacksaw, chopping away to get to the core.

Last bit - just give it a bit of a tug to twist it and....

THE BLOODY THING JUST LIFTED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it doesn't twist, it lifts off - just give it a good yank!

Knobs, yanking.....this post has got to be the filthiest clean post ever.

:D

Handbrake looks like a cutting bonanza, it all looks moulded on my Active Sport.

I'm actually thinking of doing this myself at some point.

so i just pull up and twist??

which direction clockwise or anti clockwise?

cheers again.

Yeah the handbrake looks solid might have to go back and return it.

I just pulled it by accident after cutting the side and it just came off.

So just pull straight up (it won't twist as the metal shaft underneath is serrated.

It'll probably take some pulling but on my 1.2 8v Mk2 it just lifts off.
