The batteries in both of my keys (Punto Sporting Mark I) are both almost dead.

Am I able to replace them myself or do I have to buy new keys? If I do, any idea how much they are?

Thanks.

cheers mate. Thought it would be the case but didnt want to open it just to be on the safe side.

Ta!

Next question. Where can I get those batteries from?

Panasonic CR 2016 3V were inside. Was hoping they would be like a watch battery but obviously they are not.

Right, had my batteries from tokyo. Put them in only now one key works and the other doesnt.

It looks like the part that forms the connection between the button and chip had come off. I tried putting it back on with a tiny bit of super glue. 1st time i pushed the button, the light flashed, it hasnt worked since!!!

Presume I need a new key now then. As I share the car with my fiancee and couldnt survive with only one key. Plus I couldnt go back to actually putting the key in the door now.

Any idea how much a new remote locking key would cost me?????

was hoping it would be something like that but as im more of a delegater than a "doer" :D I didnt really know if it was possible.

I'll give the key to my old man so he can solder it in work.

Cheers!
