Hi so I wonder if someone can help me, I recently fitted a hawk remote locking kit to my car. When locking and unlocking my car sometimes it struggles to pick up that I'm pressing the button on the fob. I've noticed lately that my car sometimes struggles to start because it sounds like the battery is nearly flat.

Could my battery nearly being useless be causing my remote locking to play up because when you go to lock the car after a long drive it works perfect which makes me think this is the cause

Thanks
Russ

**Just to add its not where the antenna is located on the remote locking because even if I hold the fob right in front of the antenna and try to lock/unlock it doesn't work.

which brand

my mums still running the original battery that she got from new iirc
Its on a 52 plate, so much to say, been inside the car is whats keeping it alive me thinks

Brothers astra is on its original GM battery still, had about 4 alternators go bang and me short it out once, its still going

Punto ones dont seem to last long tho....
Maybe bigger batteries are the only way forward?
