Right, I was at pub lunchtime today, and was chatting about Little Britain, and me and my mate got talking about the old shows on TV, and who was in them. We came up with the following:

Monty Python - managed to work out 5 of the 6, but could not remember the 6th guy who did all the animations - we got as far as Terry somebody, and a quick text solved the answer, Terry Jones ;)

Chelmsford 123 - starring Rory McGrath from They Think Its All over, plus the guy who now produces Hat Trick Productions....

Whose Line is it Anyway - hosted by Clive Jones, starring people like Paul Merton, Josie Lawrence, Richard Digance - I saw some of these guys perform at Comedy Store Playhouse in Leicester Square back in the early 90s, pure class.

Friday Night Live/Saturday Night Live - Stavros and Loadsamoney, lol. Aka Harry Enfield.

The Mary Whitehouse Experience - hmmm....

The Jasper Carrot Show!

Hale & Pace - cutting edge TV at the time - Hello Billy, Hello Johnny, can I shine your knob [possibly]

The Goodies - we could recall Tim Brooke Taylor and Bill Oddie, thats it.

Spitting Image - Sunday night without fail; I read some time ago they were going to bring it back, but nothing heard since. Probably get sued...

Decided Fast Show, etc, too recent.

It was an hour well spent in the pub :)

Good list :)

Although I thought Terry Gilliam (the American One) did the Monty Python animations. It was Clive Anderson, not Clive Jones, and The Hat Trick bloke is Jimmy Mulville.

Used to love Hale & Pace in the late 80's, always a big talking point at school, and Friday Night Live was always good, never liked Ben Elton though, still don't, but Blackadder rocked.

Your missing Goodie was Graeme Garden, who still crops up as a panelist on things, and is a very funny bloke.

Hope that helped Stu. :D

Hi Vin

Lol, Clive Jones was name of my old boss, we got it right in the pub, just mixed it up with Terry Jones when I posted this thread.

I was adamant it was Terry Gilliam, but coz we had a missing Terry, we presumed it was Jones who was the missing link.

Jimmy Mulville, thats the kiddy....and Graeme Gardner, thanks bud - it is amazing how a brain can go blank - we were staring into space for ages. Then we moved onto Magic Roundabout, and how it was originally in French, but then voiced over by Emma Thompson's dad, who just made it up, maybe....

Try soft drinks next visit Stu and you fill in all the blanks instead of increasing your risk of firing blanks!

Bit TC and Steve C style there eh!

Back to normal now, Hale and Pace and Spitting Image good comedy - Little Britain...................can't find anything funny I'm afraid.

I had answers but Vin beat me :-(

Just you wait till I get a Ulysse boyo!

Don't know what I'd put in it though! LOL

Initial testing is proving ok but surge protectors are keeping any unexpected arrivals away!
