Trying to link the car test and the plane together? is it the same company that makes the car that has made the plane? Not clear in article.

Either way china has a poor aviation safety record be it being homegrown parts or from others

Well its got a FAA Type Cert so it must be airworthy.

From a powerplant PoV, at least its not a homegrown engine! (Its on GE Aviation units).

Did an internal Chinese flight from Beijing to Xian in '94. It was a Tupulov and being a trained aircraft fitter, I was a bit dubious because of known Russian build quality failings.

Anyway, we were all issued with fans because the air con couldn't cope on the ground. The Americans couldn't fit down the aisle because they or their luggage was too fat and the best bit was on landing.

The row in front of us was empty, when we hit the runway and the pilot applied the brakes, the seats in front collapsed. That was well impressive - NOT!
