Surely to have a "custom map", you actually need the car in the garage on a rolling road setup....as each engine will be different....had mine mapped and it spent the whole day being done.

You can't chip it. Needs (ideally) live remap. Ring and ask around -- there may be some clues on the "Performance FIAT" site -- a post on Piston Heads may turn something/someone up.

I'm going aftermarket, or I'd have done the searching for you.

Ive been thinking about it but im not too clued up on the workings... was looking at the det3 as it looks and sounds like a awesome bit of kit and at a good price too.. but I want to see what gains are possible from the original ecu, saves the hassle of looms ecu... I hate modifying looms lol..

Ill have a look on the performance fiat site and see if anything comes up

Cheers fingers

Det3, i have messagd TRS from Poland.

they said it would cost £206 for the DET3 with a map "suitable" for the 1.4 and the wiring diagram for the cinquecento running the 1.2 16v ecu.

I don't think it's too bad.

That is the route i am going to go down, IF GSR i still not ready to map the 1.2 16v ecu, They said they got all their hardware to map the 1.2 16v ecu.

Hmmm ive been looking at det3 load recently.. but the whole wiring it in is scarey lol

May just buy one and do it lol

The wiring on the DET 3 is probably the easiest part about it harder than a 1.4 swap but easy if you have punto Haynes and other wiring diagrams my diagram is all done once my car is ready then I'll start it in practice. The mapping is the harder part you can't just guess you really need to know how everything works, why etc

my local tuners in andover can do a piggyback ecu remap on rolling road for a mere £500 ?????
fook that
