apparently you told someone about the site or you pointed them in this direction.

and whe they sign up they say it was you that helped them to get here

Just means someone used your name when they signed up - i.e. you referred them.

There is no direct link backwards, well I don't see it - although I can see who members were referred by.

Put it this way. I have had my Fiat for ~18 months. Has been off the road for ~ 10 of them (about 4months this latest stretch )
So yeah, probably just like your Panda
