Recommend me a batch renaming prog.

Ok so i know win xp can batch rename ie;

pic.jpg
pic (1).jpg
...
pic (10).jpg

or

pic (1).jpg
pic (2).jpg
...
pic (10).jpg


However if you have more than 10 files renaming to 01, 02 etc is better and with 100 or more 001, 002, 003 no parenthesis ()

I want something which if i say i want

My movie S01EXX the xx will be the number

and for images the same with the 001 option i can add the date data myself it it will allow me to say start the rename at 052 or whichever i choose.

I know there are loads of apps which will do this, i want recommendation's, i have google searched it myself and there are numerous ones but few reviews which compare them.

cnets and download.com's reviews are a bit rubbish.

If I could remember how to write loops for DOS I could write you a Batch Renaming program.

However I can't remember.

I've written a program that will change the file extension fo a set of files in a folder to another type but thats no good to you.

I personally can't think of how different either of the programs could be. Unless they can perform additional tasks other then renaming files, I would imagine only the interface would be different.

If they are Freeware then I'd recommend you download them all, experiment and draw your own conclusions
