General rear wiper not working

my rear wiper aint working will it be the motor or can it just be a fuse thats blown?

Most likely if its the MK1 its the motor its pretty common for them to seize..

did u check the fuse?

there may be a relay involved also.

finally ,i would check the power supply at the motor connector block while operating the rear wiper motor switch.

Open your boot, and look on the top of the bumper bit that the boot closes onto for 5 (or 4) metal squares and a plastic push button. The whole unit is screwed on with two standard screws, un-screw them and pull the unit out.

There should be 5 plugs connected to the other side of the unit, check to see if any of the plastic has melted etc which could cause a dodgy connection to the wiper motor.

If you have the SX then its likley the heated rear window plug has melted everything

usually the motor, scrappy £15 ish, easy job to do yourself, £100+ at FIAT. Check fuses firt though.

id check the fuse first and then the wiper and wiring although its almost certainly the the wiper motor..,.,,
