General Rear window demister

Hi, i have a few lines out on my rear demister, ive had a look around on the forum and have seen a few posts saying that you can use conductive paint, i just wondered if this would still work because the lines that are out have turned a yellow/gold colour from the original brown.

also is there any kits that are better than others.
