Hi this is my first post
my late brother used to do my repairs
my rear washer stopped working
the motor is still buzzing
when i try it i have made sure it isn't blocked with a pin
any simple to follow advice
would be great thanks :)

There will be at least one non-return valve in the line to the back.
Hopefully an easily accessible one has simply blocked.
You can get new ones from Halfords etc..

thanks yes water in bottle front washer works fine motor buzzes but no water comes out

Find the washer bottle in the engine bay.
Coming from that area will be two small flexible pipes.
One will lead to the screenwasher on the bonnet.
The other will go into the car and eventually reappear at the tailgate.

In those pipes in the bonnet area you'll see something that is clearly not part of the pipe itself.
That is the one-way valve.

thankyou so much off to give it a try wish me luck

isnt the pump and bottle behind front offside wheel spat?
im sure i splattered blood trying to get to these things in the dark ages

I'll be interested to see what the solution is since my sei is doing the same, no water from the rear washer at all, washer isn't blocked and the pump works fine

Would like to get it sorted but either way it's been de-wipered now so it's not exactly an issue :p

If the pump is working (sending washer fluid to the front screen) then it's all good. The problem lies with the tubing to the rear..

You just have to follow the tube to any of those valves and make sure they're not blocked (disconnect the tube and see if fluid comes out when you work the washer).

If the tube delivers fluid, then the valve maye be gummed up or blocked. New ones are not tooo dear and a simple push fit.

Sometimes the motor can make noise but be broken inside.. but then you wouldn't get fluid coming out of any tube.. front or back.

Remember cinq have 2 pumps? And sei has one (could be wrong here)

For a cinq, make sure both is working!

You are bang on correct.. sei has a 2-way pump rather than 2 separate ones. And on a cinq at least you can't get a new pump - you have to replace the whole washer bottle if thats the problem. Not something I've ever had a probelm with on a sei so not sure if thats the same or not.
