Rear Wash/Wipe

Hi,

Just bought myself a bravo, '97 1.6SX which i love. But I can't figure out the rear wiper. The manual says to push the right stalk forward or twist the 'end bit' but mine doesn't go forwards and twisting the end doesn't do anything.

Also the stalk is marked differently to the pic in the manual. Could it be that somewhere along the line the stalk has been replaced? Or is the wiper just decorative?

Anyone have any ideas? Just thought i'd ask before i start ripping out the trim in the hatch.

Sounds like the motor has knackered up, if you twist the end it'll wipe the window pushing forward will squirt the rear window.

Might try and pick up a motor from a scrappy.

I'm still confused as to why the stalk does not go forward from it's normal position to squirt the back. It only pulls back for the front washers. One of the old MOT reports says something undecipherable about the the wiper stalk.
