Right like a dumb arse i knocked the mirror clean off how do you glue it back on or what ever. Didn't even hit it hard to be honest only lightly tapped it. ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1416774357.779064.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1416774380.924566.jpg

You dont glue them back on, :D

pop into a local car parts shop..tell them your interior mirror fell off.

they will handyou a special sticky pad...cost is normaly 30 -70p.

dont use glue.. ;)

When fitting it back on.

remove the black part from mirror ..it shouid persuade out,.

clean up the area on windscreen...stanley blade.(wear gloves)

clean up the base part of the mirror..

apply sticky pad and press it in place...

dont try sticking the full mirror on..too much weight..

let it set on for afew minutes then slide mirror on...

(make sure base is applied to screen right side up or mirror wont go on :D )

Been told sticky pads fall off?

Also its a clean take off no glue on the screen because i ran my finger over it and didn't feel any it was smooth and its smooth on the back of the mirror hmm

I was only wiping my window with a cloth and caught it slightly and it fell off lol

Nah..they dont fall off,if applied properly.
reason why they use these is theres less chance of smashing the screen if
someone knocks the mirror..

it looks like yours has been 'superglued on in the past going off the white residue.,. (super'glued on-mirrors normaly fall off in winter time, cold weather loosens it off)

if you clean both area's up propperly the sticky pads will work,

its up to you what you use but..iwouidnt recomend using any glue,. ;)

Got told they is special rear view mirror glue? Loctite rear mirror glue?

Anyway i shall try the sticky pad trick seen as its pence

Failing that i have a universal rear view mirror with a suction on it and will whack that on.

Cheers for the heads up i shall get a sticky pad tomorrow.

Shall i scrape that bit off the mirror? The black bit that has a shine/smooth surface? Or shall i just stick it straight over the top of it?

Doesn't work tried it many times in the past.

The issue I have with sticky pads is the mirror then wobbles about and makes things in the rear view mirror hard to see

Similar to what Oldhammer said, pop into you local 'auto glass' and tell them your mirror fell off, they then stick it back on with there magical mirror glue which I believe is used to hold the very fabric of time and space together and it should then never fall off again.

You was right they are crap the sticky pads i tried it today cleaned the window and then heated up the window with a lighter and then stuck the base to the window and held it for 5mins then put the mirror on and it held it....for about 30seconds when i was reversing it was shaking and fell off and i got annoyed and stuck them universal suction ones on only cost me £3!
