Technical Rear Trailing Arm

Hi all, quick question for you all, are Cinqcento and Seicento Rear arms the same?

My Cinquecento bushes are shot and I know where I can get arms off a Seicento with less than 30k on the clock - should be ok I guess, or hope

Can you just get the bushes as my seicento has only done 39000 miles

yup yup,

Might as well fit poly bushes, they are easily to fit compared to fitting OEM bush! (they just push in, instead ot pressing it on with a hydralic press)

tbh buy that arm is cheaper

standard bushes can be bought from about £4 each from a good autofactors, the work involved in taking arm off and putting back on is the same, but removing then refitting the bushes from/to the arm can be a nightmare without a press or a good bench mounted vice

Hey you might also try googling for "superflex" bushes......they're great and you can choose standard (red) or upgrade which are blue to harden up the ride and make her stick round corners etc.....

According to their website, there appear to be no Cento bushes at Superflex.

Superflex are 1/2 the price though so it might be nice if they did.

Rally design used to / still do sell Superflex together with what seems to be their own brand, PolyFlex / PolyRace. I had those on my 5GTT and saved £50%. Seemed to last well.

There seem to be some other brands about now, cheap. Can't tell if they any good.

You can buy the stuff as bar, freeze it and machine it in a lathe...........

Ok, arms fitted all ok, well apart from the judder in the brake pedal! Found it to be the O/S drum not being round (the arms came complete with hubs and brakes)!!!
So on went the drum from the old arm - sorted!

My question is should I swap the other side with the old drum so I have two that are worn roughly the same? Or am I talking ********??!!!

It'll be OK.

In theory you should renew disks and drums as a pair, but the Cinq drums don't exactly work hard.
