ok people am half way through fittin my lowering springs, done the hard bit, the fronts! they were nasty! took over 2 hours to do both sides!

however i cant find my bible (haynes manual) and am wondering about the rear springs.

i've got as far as takin off the wheel and kno that i have to undo the bolt at the bottom of the shock and am just wondering if the whole arm will com down after undoing that bolt, and do i just slip out the old spring, cut the bumpstop, stick the new one back in, do up the bolt an put the wheel back on?

just seems dead easy compared to the fronts!

Yeah got it in one, the arm does not need to come off. The arm should fall down far enough to allow u to slide the old spring out and the new one in. You can probs get away with leaving the wheel and then jacking it up with the shock bolt undone.

I hope we is getting some pics when it is done!! :D:D:D:D:D:D

u serious? i dont even need to take the wheel off? dammit i could of done it this mornin instead of goin to work then!!!

oh well will have to b done tomorrow afternoon, then i got a couple more little things to do an i will b postin pics next week prob! hehe

cheers for that man!

the only reason i had to take the wheel off is cause the axle stands and jack werent high enough to allow a big enough drop too take the spring out

i want pics :D

fair nuff.... in that case dependin on the time i may change the wheels over an stick the nice abarth 5 spokes on there while i am at it.... not a long job i guess then!

then before pics are posted i am sprayin the rear rubstrip blue (wed afternoon) and puttin buckets in (thursday afternoon)

so u may have to wait till early next week for pics hehe :slayer:

thanks, i see a set coming down the chimney this xmas, i just got to persuede santa now :D

what is the leg room in the back like??
there aint a lot man! i could only get 2 people in the back when i was drivin an i am a good 3 inches shorter than u!!!

i do have loads of pics that were taken durin fittin them so if santa is a good boy then at least i can send u pics of wat the subframes are suppost to look like when fitted! bear in mind they sit about 2 inches higher than the sporting seats cause corbeau only do conversion frames that sit on top of the sliding bit of the cento subframes... if that makes any sence to u!

yeah i get you, so my head will be touching the roof

im not really bothered bout leg room in the back cause i refuse to have rear passengers now

but the seats need to be so far forward, so my back seats can fold down flat when i want to use it as a van

fair nuff... how tall are ya? i am 5'7 an could get away with puttin the back seats down! but anythin much more than that an it would b tricky, especially if u dont like them upright like normal bucket seats!

i'll send u fotos wheneva i get mine back in! will only b a 30min job as i only need to change them over with the standard ones!

i think you can spray them any colour you like aslong as the bulds flash orange

i think it can be done my mixing the paint with lots of laquer, im gonne be trying it soon on my rear lights, i just need to find someone with a spray gun :D
