gotta agree with martyn on this one, nothing more satisfying than a diy job, get down to the scrappy and haul a set of lights off another punto, then you can spend time doing it right, and when you are satisfied, swap them over. :)

but if you still aint sure about it, i dont know of a company that will do it for ya, maybe someone here will be able to help you out.

right ok maybe i will try it myself , take it halfords is the best bet for tint spray ?

aj - good or bad post up the results and you could maybe do a 'how 2' for us if it all goes good ;)

dont worryabout being a n00b, we all gotta start somewhere lol, get tinting spray from halfords or other car accessories shops, take off your lights so you dont get overspray on your car, and just follow instructions

Thats fine mate, we all started somewhere!

I found this from a couple of years back. Hope this helps!

just get a can of tinting spray, it takes 5mins to get the rear lights off, a couple of mins cleaning them, then give it a coat of the tinting stuff, then leave it to dry! just don't hold the spray can too close or spray an area for a long time, too much means it'll run.

As Stuart suggested, try and pick up a spare pare from the scrappy and try them. Build up the layers slowly, with even strokes over the lights. What I did with my old mk1 was put a thinner layer over the reflectors and then build up more layers over the rest of the lights. That seemed to make it easier come MOT time :)

Hope this helps!

Considering doing this myself. My side repeaters are starting to yellow, so was going to get the smoked ones off eBay and tint the rear lights to match.

Seriously don't like the look of the after market "Lexus" lights you can get for the Stilo. Even the black one's are horrible in my opinion.

On the tinting side, have heard some people get some made up for them by adding a small amount of black to a lacquer base. Not sure if that's the easiest way of going about it but it's supposedly meant to give a better finish.

Still though, I'll probably go the easy approach and buy something ready made online somewhere :)
