Technical Rear Brake Drums on my sei

help. I am ready to refit my alloys but when i took the back wheels revealing my new rear brake drums, (original fiat parts) there are two nuts in the casing that where not on the old ones, the first i have removed (the one with the spike) but I do not want to remove the second because it could be holding the drum together. with this nut in place the spacer will not fit and I cannot refit my wheels. please help....

thanks, i didn't know if it was a revised design, you know how parts manufacturers love doing that without telling

They are there to locate the drum while you are fitting the wheel. It is possible for the hub to rotate independantly of the drum so can be a pain to line up. Genuine Fiat wheel make allowaces for them, aftermarket ones do not.
