All,

Thought it would be a good idea to get one of the rear boot lip protectors from RG Mouldings for my wifes 4x4.

Got the product delivered took it out of the bag and placed it on the rear of the car, wife says......wait for it......."don't like the colour" !!!

Its black it fits with the rest of the trim in my opinion but its not getting fitted, as she says its "her car" !

So if anyone wants a brand new rear boot protector which looks like this -

www.rearguards.co.uk/vehicleapplications

Price delivered £25.00 - it cost me circa £40.00 with postage

Everything is there, not been fitted, wipes instructions etc etc

Its a great product.

Also for sale FOC one fussy wife - free to good home - no returns policy applies.

Drop me a line if anyone interested.

Cheers all.

I could well be interested in this..mine not fussy just plain bloomin clumsy..and every time she unloads the boot beads of sweat pore down my brow..

How does it fix in place..?

Hi, from what i see you remove the four torox screws from the lip of the bumper under the tailgate - takes about 2 miniutes, wipe clean the surface of the bumper with the wipe - and then peel of the 3M self adhesive tape and it sticks on. Then put the Torox screws back in place which locate through the bumper protector and then into their housing thus securing the protector in place.

Let me know if you are still interested.

Cheers

I put this on my 4x4 a few months ago..... BUT.... put a piece of double sided on each corner. pull just a little of the backing tape off and leave proud first.... THEN push it in tight and do up the torox scews. when it's sitting tight then pull the masking tape off. I found the original sticky hopeless and used a very good double sided by Selotape. works a treat and as I have a dog in and out all the time saves scratches.

ps: It's my wife car but I commandeer it... she has to use the Merc and I get the fun!
