:worship: Hi all id like to replace the back box on my little cinq took it to kwik fit the guys there said it was blowing slightly on the joint between back box and middle section it has a rattle and the back box looks rusty as hell they mention the honey comb/baffles were gone vibrating so one of the guys gave it a few taps with a lump hammer to grip it did the trick only temp. I can see the box needs changing whilst on the ramps they showed me the rest of the exhaust and its sound as is most of the car no corroded brake pipes and such so my question is where is the best place to get a rear section from both price and quality wise ive just seen a rear section on ebay for £40 but it looked crap plain steel looking in the picture the one that is on would have been chrome i think.

The standard ones were aluminised steel with chrome or stainless finishers.
Assuming Sporting, I'd go either for a Janspeed cat back (in stainless, it'll outlast the rest of the car and add a little value to it) or shop around for a cat back to OE standards. You'll probably pick one up for £40 or so. Fit new hangers and it'll probably last 3 or 4 years.
