Hi guys
Bit of advice
How do I re set fault codes on a Fiat ducato 2002 3 pin plug
Pre OBD2 type
Thanks in advance

I have the Multiplexed Multiecuscan package, bought from Gendan. So far all the cars I've needed to use it on have just plugged straight in on the OBD socket so I'm not so sure about using it on the 3 pin version. However, if you look here: https://www.gendan.co.uk/multiecusc...b-D0HseL4QiY9vfJjjK8wnYwfL-8_gusaAr6YEALw_wcB at the standard package on the left, you'll see it informs that the 3 pin adaptor is required for earlier vehicles. You could do a lot worse than ringing up Gendan for some more info on options. I speak often with their Grant who is extremely helpful and not at all pushy for a sale. I doubt if you can wipe trouble codes without a scanner of some sort.

Here's a video from one of the forum members showing Multiecuscan being used to clear fault codes:

Don't be too daunted by all the setting up stuff he shows. Once the program is installed and configured to work with the interface you'll find there's an icon on your home page which is a simple click away from opening the program ready to use. You can download the program for free on the MES website: http://www.multiecuscan.net/ which is very easy to do. Configuring interfaces is slightly more difficult, especially if your computor skills are in the neanderthal range, like mine, but I got there in the end. Beware cheap interfaces as people on the forum have reported problems with them - again Gendan are very helpful - even if you don't buy from them - The free download version has some very limited functionality and you can explore the package in simulate mode too. If you're doing anything more than just trying to do this one reset then MES is a must for our wee cars.
