Technical Rattly sunroof

I got a rattly sunroof, fortunately i dont get wet seats when it rains but its doing my nut.[!]

Any ideas on how to sort it? The haynes book of lies says to take it to a dealer but Im not convinced

There are little rubber attachments that fall off and this causes the metal bar the rattle. They're probably lost in your rooflining now. I improvised with insulation tape.

I had the same thing but only rattled when the sun roof was tilted.
I took it to the Auto Italia where i bought it and they said they would have to take the whole sun roof out and fix the metal which had come away.
This is a fair amount of manual labour time (Not cheap!).
I improvised with some blue tack and its as good as new, well no rattling sound at all.

So which but of metal do you stick the blu tack / insulation tape to?

At the rear of the sunroof, the metal going along the length of it had come away at one end. The other side was bolted on and i could not get to the loose side. I stuck a little bit of blue tack underneath the metal so that it did not move up or down. This may not be the same in your case but stopped the annoying rattling sound.

It didn't completely come away on my car, but worked loose enough to rattle. Bloody annoying!

Mines doing the same, i can't reach the end of the rod thing that is rattling so i am going to (using a piece of my mums gardening cane) put some silocen sealent on the end of it.
