The last couple of days I have noticed a rattling noise when in gears 1-3. Mostly when sitting in heavy traffic with lots of stopping and starting so rarely getting as high as 4th.
It only happens when applying the gas, if I take my foot off the gas and let the car coast it stops. It also stops as soon as I engage 4th or 5th. Perfectly quiet once we are going at a decent speed but starts again as soon as I have to slow down.
I have been joking that she just HATES sitting in traffic and going slow, and this is her complaining as much as I do, but its starting to worry me as I dropped my son at college yesterday and he sent me a text saying whats up with the car it sounded dodgy as you drove away. Then today took my other son on a driving lesson and he said what the hell is that noise its making.
Its had recent gearbox change, could it be the clutch?
