Sounds a bit like a bottom end to me… on the other hand how is the oil level? Those are know to use up oil and apparently oil pump have tendency to kill itself at low mileage maybe that?

Oil level is all good, I check it every few thousand miles and top up when required, probably used about 750ml in 9000miles. It has had its oil changed every 8-9k miles.
Could just be a simpler issue, look at the alternator overrun clutch which can stick and cause the serpentine belt to flap. I have a similar but much less pronounced noise with my Tipo 1.3d on idle. I have been waiting for warmer weather to get the job done. I would be very interested to hear how you get on
A bit of different approach too , in my former Panda ( 100hp so same engine) it was sign of cracking alternator casing and seizing the rotor. Either way I would try it without auxiliary belt
