General Random Bleeping

Hi,

The var started the random bleeping again today, I pressed the "dark" button on the RT3 unit and it reset. It continued beeping and I tried once again. This time ot stopped, so if this happens to you press the "dark" button a couple of times and it should cure the problem. It appears to be a fault with the version 5.4 software. I was told by the dealer that a new version is on the way.

Ah, new version! Oh good, I am bored with the old one, and it does keep the dealer busy.

Saying that, mine does not beep at all - maybe the speakers are broken!

Hi,

It is based on a small PC so I blame Microsoft as they probably had something to do with it. There should be a big reset button like the one on the desk PC's.

Still waiting for my new auto gearbox ECU, should have been here today

It can't be fully Microsoft, else you would always get the blue screen of death whenever the car tried to multitask, like turning corners AND having the indicator on!

Talking of turning corners [especially left hand ones], wonder if John K has got that squeak fixed yet!

If Microsoft has anything to do with the on-board computer, I'd ask Lombard (my lease company) to take the car back and replace it with something else.

Squeak work keeps getting re-scheduled because of my job - latest attempt to get it sorted is the end of next week!
