General Radio Jump

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this and if they know wot to do.

My radio at times, while listening to a station, seems to jump and misses a second of the station. I.E. While listening to Radio 1 for example, It plays the station normally and all of a sudden, It stops and doesn't play anything for about 1 second and then resumes normally.

Signal drop out if this occurs whilst you are moving?

If you have TA (Traffic Anouncement) switched on, it may be that trying to get a local TA enabled broadcast station.

Hey,

Yeah I do have TA on, so am I right in assuming that It's found a station that is broadcasting a Traffic Annoucement but It's too weak to pick it up or something along the lines of that.

Yes I have noticed that on my radio since I first got the car and thought it was just were the signal drops. A really weird thing with the radio on my car which has happened twice is going round a sharp left bend and the radio has turned itself to mute

Hmm, Missing a second of radio 1 is bad, Missing 60 seconds of radio 1 is good. LOLOL.
Our 500 used to jump stations in areas of Edinburgh, it would bounce from Forth to Kingdom to Clyde to Borders to Tay. You got about 3 seconds of each station,(another reason why it went). No matter what I tried it would not lock onto a station.
Panda system,no problems.

Strangely at a certain point on the Westlink, my radio will try to re-tune itself. But only if I'm heading north, southbound it's fine... Lol

And I'm in agreement about Radio 1 - It's truly horrific!
