Different engine wouldn't make it 4x4 :p

:nutter:
Calm down calm down chap :p the new panda 4x4 running gear could probably be fitted.

I was thinking about putting the 100hp panda engine in my bravo, and while im at it may aswell look into putting the new panda 4x4 running gear in.

Would be a good project i think

Is there any way to reset the t9 dictionary? I have a samsung soul, that has 'learnt' the wrong words, i.e AS comes up as 27 and various others. I've tried resetting to the factory settings, but the dictionary stays the same. its not a huge deal but does getting really annoying having to keep going back and change the words.

i think you need a 3rd party file manager and delete the .dat file you want, as the built manager in wont delete delete them.. iir...

Cheers lets see what a few others think :D

Could be good, 6 speed 100bhp Bravo :chin: Id definatly look into 4x4 cant imagine 4x4 being easy though.

My bravo 1.4 is 80bhp and i need a big project.
If you were putting a 1.4 12 valve (which I think your's probably is) in to replace the same, then as long as you tell the DVLA for numbers and do the courtesy of informing your insurance company then I can't see a problem But, if you are going to fit an engine from a Stilo or new Bravo of the same size then you definitely need to tell your insurers because you will be increasing the power output by about 20%.

Is it possible to run a performance exhaust on a diesel car.
Or even just a back box? What effects will this make, to power, sound ect?
Yes you can, there are a couple of Peugeot 306s round our way with at least
partial systems. As with any exhaust, any changes to manufacturer's spec needs to be done carefully. When an engine and 'zorst are designed it is done
with noise levels and polution in mind as well as performance. If you think of a hosepipe on a tap, the 2 things that affect the flow is the size the tap and the diameter of the hose. If a 1" tap is turned on full but connected to a hose half an inch in diameter then the hose restricts the amount of water that can come through so it's not very efficient. That probably sums up the typical production car's exhaust. If, on the other hand you fit a 1" hose to the 1" tap, you will be able to put more water through. But, put a 1 and a half inch hose on a 1" tap and you restrict the flow as the water will effectively bounce around inside the pipe. A good example is to take a bottle of Coke or similar and try and pour it out quickly. You can empty the bottle more quickly by pouring gently. A small increase in bore (no, not me) could give you an increase in power and torque simply by evacuating the cylinders more quickly leaving the charge to be ignited much purer. If you want to go much bigger then you will have to think about putting more air and fuel in at the front end and here an induction kit could help, but be careful, this could be the start of a vicous circle.

What are the rules on swaping your engine?

For example my Bravo is a 1.4 so could I put a different more modern 1.4 engine in my car. Would tax/insuracnce be the same would i even have to declare it to anyone? Im sure I would but lets see.

:chin: Wonder if i could 4x4 panda my bravo hehe :p

fitting an engine that was not fitted to the car as standard will increase the complexity and cost. the best thing to do is buy an HGT.

there is a video on youtube of a 4x4 bravo with a coupe 20vT engine.

Wasn't having a go :p just sounded like you thought putting a engine from a 4x4 in it would make it 4x4 :p

Not sure if 100hp panda engine and 4x4 running gear would work. The power from the engine could shread the transmittion :(
