General Question: 78 Spider Mirror Removal

How do you remove the interior mirror mounted on the windshield frame of a 78 Fiat Spider?
There appears to be 2 bolts/studs holding the mirror bracket in place, although I see no obvious way to remove the mirror. The mirror is a good working day/night flip type and I would prefer not to damage it.

The mirror sits on a kind of joint and should pull off with a bit of force, you can then get to the screws that hold the mounting plate.
