Technical Putting a different CD player in a Panda?

I bought a nice CD/MP3 player (Sony CDX-GT31U) for my previous car and I want to transfer it to my (soon-to-be) new Panda Eleganza, but I'm worried about the "unique" design of the Panda's audio unit. Is this going to be possible?

In the meantime, the Panda I'm considering comes with a CD/MP3 player, but does anyone know what interface the MP3 uses? USB port or something else?

I'm a total Fiat newbie, so any help is greatly appreciated!

(Oh - and I live in the UK, if that makes any difference.)

I've got a Sony in my Panda so it can be done,

You need to get a facia adaptor for the Panda @£15 tops

My original stereo didn't have MP3 capability so I am guessing, but I think your HU can play MP3s burnt on a CD rather than USB etc.

1 little word of warning, the original cage has an allen bolt buried down the bottom, it's a right pig to get at and undo (you need a long allen key and a lever to turn the short end of the key) !!!!
