Hi,

I have a GP 1.4 t-jet which has some vibration under load, best noticable in 3th and 4th great under full throttle. I think it's there from the moment that most of the torque is available, so around 2.5k till 3,5-4k rpm.
With normal acceleration it's barely noticable, so isn't in 1th or 2nd gear. It also seems a bit worse when accelerate and steer (to the right mostly I think) at the same time.

Could this be a worn CV joint (tripod)?
I think the vibration/suddering comes from the left.

It sometimes also feels like the car has very little hesitations at full throttle, could that also be caused by a worn CV joint?

Thanks for the replies!

I'd rather suspect engine mount(s) ... How old is the car ?

BRs, Bernie.

Car is from 2009 and has about 165.000km. Drives really really great besides this little thing

Hi :)

The inner (gearbox to shaft) joints have a shaking effect

It is a rotating imbalance.. constant with roadspeed (@50kmh).. but accentuated by torque inputs : engine load..;)

At 50kph.. if its there.. shaking:pulsing
Depress the clutch padal.. let engine revs drop to idle..
if its still shaking.. its not the engine mounts

They think it has to do with a turbo problem. Most probably a cracked exhaust manifold or wastegate turbine housing.
Problems are worse with hot engine and hot weather, so I can imagine that a crack is just a bit bigger with really warm engine and hot weather and give inconsistent driving.

Going to replace it next week hopefully

Still have a little vibration and a leaky transaxle rubber cover, but most vibrations/incosistent power is gone.

all to do with very big cracks in the turbine housing and crack in the manifold.
