Hello
As I mentioned in an earlier thread, I am having problems getting my son's Punto started.

This happened quite unexpectedly yesterday after it had previously been running ok. I have read somewhere that if the throttle is depressed slightly on these Puntos, during the starting procedure, then this will cause this sort of problem. It just so happens that I had advised my son to do this, only a day or so ago, when trying to start the car.

Can anyone confirm this, and if it's correct, how whatever damage/problems the procedure has caused can be sorted out - or is it all nonsense anyway?

I never had any problems with my 75 and I used to give a little gas when it started.

I don't think that pressing the throttle after it had started was the problem, but slightly before and during the starting process - that was the impression I got anyway.
