Another Trouble Were Having Is With Starting It Up When The Engine Is Cold It Sounds As Though Its Only Firing On 3 Cylinders Till You Give It A Few Big Revs The Va Va Vroooom Shes Fine Changed The Plugs And It Never Made A Blind Bit Of Difference

yep the guy is prob right you will have to replace the whole arm.
same thing happened with my dads audi A4 the ball joint on the left side went and the only way to replace it is to replace the entire arm inc bushs.

Its the way modern cars are going, 10-15years ago you could go to nearly any garage and they would have a press to push a new socket and ball into the lower arm. not now though, you will have to buy the whole thing, best to replace the right hand side at the same time to even things up
