Punto Speaker Pods

I'm looking to fit new speakers in the front of my MK2 Punto, i am looking at the Alpine Type-R Componants. They have nice grills, and i would like to keep them on show, but the autoleads speakers pods cover them up!!

Any idea of what to do? anyone else got these speakers? they good?

Well, you know how you're meant to fit those Autolead speaker pods for more depth? (like these http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/1932.html) and the cover on these is fixed, or so i've heard? and i like the grills on the alpines (like here http://www.alpine-europe.com/conten..._6-1-2--165cm-DIN-COMPONENT-2-WAY-SPEAKER.htm) and i would like to keep it on show, but look neat. How did you do yours? did you keep the grills on show? how?

the covers are not fixed

what you can do is fit the autolead pod, then the alpine speaker surround, then the speaker and now the grill

the speaker will not sit in the autolead pod now but the alpine speaker grill will now be on show

the autolead pod doesnt give any depth increase
