Hi All,
I'm in the middle of replacing the electromagnetic clutch on my Selecta and the Haynes says to run a few checks on the new one before you fit it. There's a couple of electrical checks, resistance and earth, they're fine but it also says to check the bearing does not stick or rumble when you turn it, but as far as I can see, the whole clutch unit is solid. There are 2 faces where the brushes contact but apart from tat I cant see which bit should be turning. I'm concerned that the new clutch I have is also stuck fast and I'm loathed to fit it only to find out that one's knacked aswell.
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks in advance,
Paul.
