Technical punto revs

is there an automatic choke on the mk1 punto 75 elx???..im asking because started it up today.first time since it was fixed it went up to 12hundred on the rev counter then slowly crept back down to 950 is that normal or because hasnt really been used???
any help much appreciated

no choke on them, but it will rev a bit higher untill its warm, if battery has been disconected its best let it tick over for a few minuets so it can find its idle

it does hav a choke it an automatic choke which is controled by the ECU on my 75 mk1 when i start it (when its cold) the revs sit at 1500rpm but then will slowly creeps down to 950rpm and when its down at that it has now warmed up

it is NOT a choke, the ecu adjusts fueling acording to the air and engine tempature, its diffrent to a auto choke, auto chokes can get stuck on,
