Hey Guys, i will soon be gettin some money coming my way and i'm going to be lookin to boost the power on my 1.2 8v Punto.
The engine at the moment is completely standard.
These are my ideas

BMC CDA induction kit
LongLife full exhaust system
Peformance spark plugs and ignition leads
GSR - Cylinder Head Conversion CH6CA Ported, Bench Flowed, FIN6 ready to fit (Exchange)
GSR - Light weight bucket kit with up-rated springs (nitrided)
GSR - Modified MPI Throttle body for 1242cc engine stage 2 (exchange only)

Could anybody PLEASE tell me roughly how much power gain i will get with these modifications?????

Ive priced it all up roughly to £1500, is it worth doing this or would it be cheaper/easier to drop a 1.2 16v sporting engine in, or maybe even a 1.8 hgt engine?? plz help guys and gurls

Thnx

I've got an idea what you can do with the money coming your way...

CHuck me the £150 quid that you owe me!

One love.

I'm not sure how much an engine swap is, but I would expect it to be cheaper. I'm sure that a good 2nd hand engine would be cheaper, but you could probably even get a brand new one for around £1500.

I believe a good 1.2 16V can probably be had for around £300 (plus labour, probably about £200-£300 at a guess).

My friends got the BMC CDA induction kit(universal kit) on his rover 214 16v and it sounds very nice although i havent noticed much of a power gain but his fuel consumptions gone up!.

go for the trade in option thats what im doing in April.

Still spending money on the 8v 1.2 till then but after then its over to the hgt
