Hi Guys
Bought a Punto 55s (M Plater)1995 a few months ago, had a few niggly problems but otherwise OK, but about 1 month ago the heater started to blow cold, even when switch in Hot position, and then the "temp warning light came on, mechanic said thermostat had stuck "i think he said closed" water showing in expansion tank but none apparently in the engine. he replaced thermostat and seemed ok, but today we seem to have same problem again . Apparently! no water in engine (its losing it somewhere) but no visible signs of water leaking from "hoses or water pump" but the heater is crap even full on hot, and mechanic tells me the radiator seems "cool", No "oil in water" or "water in the oil" He suggested putting Radflush in radiator,
Any thoughts Guys
Regards
Geffo

If the thermostat is stuck in closed, shouldnt that make the heater blow very varm? Since the water doesnt circulate outside the engine/heater.

take the radio out and the compartment under it, check in there under the heater matrix for dampness, sounds like the heater matrix has gone.
