hi, i have been offered the chance to buy a very nice set of 16" alloys of a stilo 1800. The problem is the width of the tyre (205/55 r16) I have put a 5mm space on the rear but the nut holding the rear shocks catches on the tyre. Any advice would be fantastic.

I stuck the 215 wide 'claw' wheels off the stilo on my MK2 and the 5mm spacers were enough to clear it of the suspension arm bolt. (They were rubbing just as well without the spacer :(

Can't understand why yours are still rubbing

Im thinking off putting Stilo claw alloys on my 1.2 mk2.5, how easy can you get them in 16's?
If not then on 17's will i need 5mm spacers?

Thanks

Dave

You cant get stilo claws in 16" only 17".

To get them to fit, you want 5mm spacers on the front and 8mm on the back.

And original size stilo tyres wont fit, you'l need some low profile ones in a 195mm width.

Ive put 17"s on my 2.5 with no spacers or problems 205/40/17 tyre.

O.K, so i'm not going to get the stilo's alloys due to the size of them.

Im going to get some 16's with tyres 195/40/16, do you reckon that would be o.k?

What about these wobbly bolts? would i need them too.
