hi,trying to change clutch on my 1.2 8v punto mk2 for the 1st time.while disasembling the pressure plate the clutch plate fell out!,stupid question but does anyone know which is the right way for it to go back in?:eek:.

surely someone can help me??.i just need to know which is the correct way round for the new clutch plate to go back in,1 side protrudes more than the other,does the protruding side go towards the flywheel or away from it?.

please help,im stuck with the car in bits.:confused:

sure The protruding side goes intowards the engine, but it will only go in one way
 
One of the Tech's at work said to me, and you wont forget it as its funny and easy to remember at tha same time.......Boss out!

In other words, the raised boss on the driven plate faces away from the engine.

Easy to remember eh :)
