Technical punto mk1, rear brake lights

recently my puntos brake lights stopped workin. checked the fuses and the changed the bulbs and allappears fine...cleaned the wire connections inside the light fittings. ... ok heres the other bit...i cleaned part of the engine out the other day and i may have hit something...:idea:

iv read the posts on this kinda problem b4 and there is a mention of a brake switch??? where is this located? and also checked earth points...of which where are they and how do u check them???

rear brake lights? as opposed to? front ones.,lol.,

brake switch is located above the brake pedal, usually white.,.,

cheeersss...mucked about with the switch but still no action from the lights

Do the rest of the lights in the cluster work?....i.e. fog light, side lights and reversing lights.

I had the same problem a few months ago, just needed to change the brake switch.
