General Punto Leaflets

Dunno if anyone else got this in todays post or fairly recently.

This morning I receive a leaflet about the new Punto. The offer advertised was 0% interest with the exception of the Active Sport because they've reduced the price to £7995. With their being two Punto owners in the family, my mother also got a leaflet. However on hers there is no mention of the 0% but a price reduction on the Active Sport (same as mine) but also the Sporting has been reduced to £9995.

Also the Fiat website appears to agree with this second leaflet. Again I can't find any mention of 0%. I contacted Fiat UK to which they could only confirm whatever is being advertised on the website but suggested I see my local dealer (I forbid to go anywhere near Cleveland Crap!)

I'm wondering if anyone else received a similar leaflet? I'm seeing this as False Advertising and normally any offer has to be honoured. You reckon I could go into a dealer, show both leaflets and demand a price reduction and 0%

On a side note, what exactly is the point of those extra bits next to the rear clusters? Do they serve any function?

I got one from my local Fiat dealer offering £2000 me off a new Fiat and £200 in cash if a friend or relative uses the voucher. Shame i dont know anyone

To be blunt you'd have to drag me in kicking and screaming even if it were 25% off that new ugly-faced Mk3.

The new re-design was just an utter shambles. Fiat single-handedly ruined one of the nicest parts of the car - the lights.

The overall shape is exactly the sameas the mk2, the front end looks like it's been cut and shut with the old Polo and it's a mess!

You really think the mk3 is better looking than the mk2?!!!

LOL, ive just had my local fiat dealer on the phone updating their info on cars they've sold to find out if i'm interested in changing it. I've just told them she's got a very nice house and is looking fine after listing her mods to them they said "excellent bring her up and let us see her"

By a mile, I actually quite like the bumpers on the sporting but the lights and bonnet grille are absolutely horrible.

Even the HGT is a total mess compared to the old one and that's a seriously bad sign.

Agreed. Fiat really dropped a testicle with that "facelift". The Mk2 was a worthy successor to the Mk1 (original and, in my eyes, the prettiest) and indeed one of it's best features was the headlight clusters - some Punto modders have even fitted Mk2 lights to their Mk1's, which looks awesome

I don't hold much hope for the Mk3 Punto (technically the current model is a Mk2.5) either; spy photos suggest that, in common with the forthcoming new Corsa with which the Punto Mk3 shares its platform, it's going to be yet another bland (or possibly even mildly ugly) little Eurobox.

For god's sake, Fiat, prove me wrong!

I got my new sporting on 0% finance 2 weeks ago from my local dealer, that was one of the main reasons for going for it, apart from the lights its a nice car, the 1.4 lump is not too slugish around town either and now that i use it right i am getting decent mpg

To answer the question, I would think that you should be able to get both offers on the face of it, but it depends on the smallprint. I would guess that one or both will say "not to be used with any other offer". You need to read the smallprint (or it might say "for terms and conditions see...") they'll probably find an excuse not to give you both.

Yeah she's lowered 40mm all round. But i think shes gonna go down 60 at the front

Sorry to hear about your test, but at least you got loads of time now to get your punt how you want it before it goes on the road

Some AwS 15" 350 well 400 ish with package and posting from an ebay shop ... brand new though ... and a combat kit ... but it needs lactering and spraying up .... i got 900 in me bank just been paid so i see what i can buy .... keeping in mind i'll need a few more driving lessons at 40 pound a pop :S

40quid for a driving lesson??? u are gettin scammed hard there i paid 17quid per lesson. Apart from that..... Dawn of time what spoiler is that on your punto also if u can give me a price on it and the body kit aswell
