Apart from the exhaust & filter he says nothing about the engine so its probably bog standard. With a race tune (cam head etc) you could get the same power from a 1200. Less weight = quicker and handle better.

by power you mean acceleration right? No way could you get 130BHP from a 1.2 without going down the turbo/supercharger route...

You could on a race engine, but it would be loud, rev like no tomorrow and have a knife edge power band. Rubbish on the road, but no problem in a race car.

Back in the 1970s David Vizard was getting 120bhp from the BL Mini 1275 engines using the 5 port 8 valve head and carburettors - race tuned of course. Again loud and no good on the road.
A modern engine with race tuned head and cam and race fuel injection should easily beat that.

My bike engine is 900cc with an 8 valve head and 4 carburettors. It makes 90bhp at 8,500rpm. In bike terms its slow but shows what possible per cc from 2 valves per cylinder.
