hi Guys

The clutch and master cylinder went on my punto hgt last week. While I was being towed the hill holder failure warning came on. After the clutch was fixed the warning came on again a mile down the road and now comes on every time I start the car.

As i don't care about the hill holder feature can I just ignore it or could it cause other problems? Don't really want to go back to garage after spending £390 on a new clutch!

Also - does anyone else have problems getting a oil reading from their punto dipstick? I think mine is catching so one side shows it as low and the other indicates it's tanked to the nuts!

It might actually be too full. Try parking it facing up a steep hill and see if the reading is more reliable (though probably low of course).

Isnt the hill holder connected with the ABS and TCS systems (not sure)

Either way it's worth getting the codes scanned.

Adjust the clutch pedal switch, then delete the error. Garage should have done this as it could've been over adjusted (knocked upwards) when the master cyl failed and was replaced.
