General Punto Hatch Wont Open

Today the rear hatch on our Evo willnot open. It is completely dead using key and pressing button. So assuming that the locking mechanism has failed How do i now get to it? Is there an emergency cord or something?

Should be a button/ switch on the latch which is easily accessed by folding the rear seats forward. Hope this is of some help!

thanks guys found the lever, should have read my handbook first.Tried some wd4o on it worked a few times but not working again now.so i think a new badge/switch is reqd

Does the key fob not open the boot if not then i wud say it the lock mech as i have had this problem to

Take off boot panel and check for water ingress where multi plug goes into boot catch
