Technical punto gt maf sensor

hi all as some are aware ive dropped a new engine in my gt ,
but unfortunatley today my car lost power and was spluttering like hell ,i took the air filter off and looked at the maf sensor the wire in there has snapped ,now i was wondering if i could bypass the sensor for a short time or will i just have to get a new one asap.
p.s does anyone know how much they are to buy
